I have had the great honor of representing Legislative District 8 for the past six years in the State Senate.  I have worked hard to make sure that your voice was heard in the halls of the Arizona Legislature -- and we have been successful.  We have reduced taxes, improved access to health care and promoted family friendly policies.  

As Chairman of the Senate Health Committee, I worked to find solutions that would address our county’s healthcare crisis, and helped to craft more workable health insurance options for our state. As a member of the Commerce Committee, I led the effort to reduce frivolous lawsuits against emergency room physicians.  This is critical as we strive to reduce insurance costs.   In addition, I served on the Senate Transportation Committee that pushed for faster freeway expansion and more options for commuters.

We still have many challenges to face, but I have the experience and the expertise to create positive change for the families across Arizona.  Your support in the upcoming election is important so that I can continue to work on your behalf.
